NFL Power Rankings- Week 2

So a lot of craziness went down Week 1 of the NFL Football season. Brady and Nate Burleson are done for the year, so the Pats go with a career back-up at QB and the Seahawks have their Preseason #4 WR as their #1. The Jaguars have lost 3 starting lineman, the Titans lost VY and the Chiefs lost Brodie (ok, not a big deal). The Colts lost to the Bears, the Chargers lost to the Panthers and the Seahawks got dismantled by the Bills. All things considered, a lot got shaken up this week.

So here's my take:

TEAM

1. Dallas Cowboys (1-0)

Plan and simple the scariest team to face right now with their upgraded D and the injury to Brady.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)

Completely throttled the Texans, who I thought would contend for the playoffs this year. They have the D, the passing attack and the RBs.

3. San Diego Chargers (0-1)

Yeah, I know they lost their first game, but the Panthers aren't as bad as they played last year. The Chargers are a complete team and it'll show.

4. NY Giants (1-0)

They may not last long in this spot, but they are the defending Super Bowl Champs and they dominated WAS, even if they score didn't show it.

5. Indianapolis Colts (0-1)

Manning looked rusty and Harrison had another costly fumble. Those two are vets who will figure it out. The D is a serious concern.

6. Green Bay Packers (1-0)

People counted them out too quickly. They have a great D, a stud RB and Rodgers is going to make believers out of a lot of people.

7. Carolina Panthers (1-0)

They dealt with some major injuries last year and poor production from Peppers. They are healthy again and not a team to mess with.

8. New Orleans Saints (1-0)

Put up good points against a strong TB defense. With their improved defense they may actually make a run this year.

9. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)

Yeah, I know they beat the Rams around, but it was the Rams. Without Brown and Curtis I just don't know how that passing attack stays potent.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)

The injuries to the OL and scary and could really harm the flow of the offense. But they have a lot of talent and a very strong D.

11. Buffalo Bills (1-0)

They beat the tar out of Seattle and have the best special teams in the league. That automatically keeps them in games. If Edwards, Evans & Lynch stay hot...

12. NE Patriots (1-0)

Yes, Cassel is a HUGE downgrade at QB, but the verdict is still out. Plus, the team still has lots of options and sneaky Bill.

13. Denver Broncos(1-0)

They dominated the Raiders and they didn't have their best playmaker (Marshall). Pair him with Royal and couple in Cutler emergence and you got a scary team.

14. Cleveland Browns (0-1)

Yeah, they looked awful, but they were playing the Cowboys and Braylon Edwards won’t be that bad again. I still have faith that these guys will get it going.

15. NY Jets (1-0)

Call me crazy, but I am not buying the hype. They only had 4 wins last year and they needed a last second INT to beat a team that won 1 game last year!

16. Tennessee Titans (1-0)

Face it, losing VY will actually help this team. He's been a bust since he came into the league. I’m still not convinced their a solid team & Collins can't run.

17. TB Bucs (0-1)

They showed that they can make some plays on offense and their Defense always seems to figure it out. Just give Graham more carries.

18. Baltimore Ravens (1-0)

Their Defense is always going to keep them in games. With McGahee and Rice they can control the clock. Now as long as Flacco doesn't lose games.

19. Chicago Bears (1-0)

OK, I have to put them here because of what they did, but I ain't buying it. Forte will be good, but Orton is not an NFL starting QB and who are the WRs?

20. Seattle Seahawks (0-1)

They are very thin at the WR position right now, but when they get healthy their offense will pack more of a punch.

21. Houston Texans (0-1)

Yeah, they got blown out, plain and simple, but they have a bunch of talent on that team. Steve Slaton is going to have a good year. Trust me.

22. Minnesota Vikings (0-1)

Tarvaris Jackson can definitely make plays, but he needs to start making more with his arm. The D can be scary good though.

23. Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)

Another team that looked downright pathetic, but they played the Ravens D & I don't expect Palmer to be that bad all season. The just need to straighten the D out.

24. Arizona Cardinals (1-0)

Almost the lowest ranked 1-0 team for me, but they are very mediocre in my eyes. Warner and James are past their prime and the D is suspect.

25. SF 49ers (0-1)

Lost to the Cardinals, but there were bright spots with Gore and Johnson. Once they turn back to Alex Smith the team will make the playoffs. Yeah, I said it.

26. Atlanta Falcons (1-0)

I don't know how, but they looked incredible. Ryan won't be that good for the whole season, and for that matter, neither will Turner, but Turner will be an All-Pro.

27. Washington Redskins (0-1)

Looked terrible in the new offense and just got dominated by the Giants. I have more faith in a turnaround than most, but it could be a long year.

28. Detroit Lions (0-1)

Humiliating loss to ATL, but all is not lost. The D will struggle, but they have incredible WRs, a solid QB and a good rookie RB.

29. Miami Dolphins (0-1)

Actually looked decent against the Jets. Pennington is a definite upgrade on Beck and they have two solid RBs. They'll win more than 1

30. Oakland Raiders (0-1)

McFadden will be solid and JaMarcus will continue to improve. They are on the rise, but the time is not now.

31. KC Chiefs (0-1)

Missed a golden upset opportunity, but they never should have had it in the first place. They are young & just plain bad.

32. St. Louis Rams (0-1)

Wow. That game was ugly. Holt was nowhere to be found, Bulger sucked...again. Their D got torched by back-up WRs. Not a good start.
